Pratt & Whitney machinists end three-week strike after approving a new contract with wage increases.
Over 3,000 Pratt & Whitney machinists in Connecticut have ended a three-week strike after voting to approve a new four-year contract.
The union members, part of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, voted 74% in favor.
The contract includes a 6% wage increase in the first year, followed by 3.5% in 2026, and 3% in 2027 and 2028.
It also guarantees continued operations at the company's East Hartford and Middletown plants through 2029.
