India approves ₹3,399 crore railway projects in two states to boost transport and reduce emissions.
The Indian Cabinet has approved two major railway multitracking projects in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, valued at ₹3,399 crore.
These projects, including the Ratlam-Nagda and Wardha-Balharshah lines, aim to enhance the transportation of passengers and goods, boost employment, and reduce logistics costs and CO2 emissions.
Completion is expected by 2029-30, adding 176 kilometers to the railway network and benefiting about 784 villages.
