India approves development of its first indigenous fifth-generation stealth fighter jet, the AMCA.

India's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the development of the AMCA, the country's first indigenous fifth-generation fighter plane. Led by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), the project aims to enhance India's defense capabilities with a stealth fighter jet. The initiative, valued at around Rs 15,000 crore, involves industry partnerships and seeks to place India alongside global powers in aerospace technology.
