Springfield’s Lincoln Museum unveils tactile exhibit for visually impaired, featuring touchable Lincoln artifacts.
The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield has launched a new "tactile" exhibit, "Lincoln: Sight, Sound & Touch," designed for visually impaired visitors.
Created by Tactile Images and the National Federation of the Blind, the exhibit features three-dimensional objects of Lincoln's life and legacy that visitors can touch and hear about through audio presentations.
On display until August 24th, it includes replicas of Lincoln's briefcase, a life mask, and Tad Lincoln's model cannon, offering an inclusive experience for all visitors.
