A driver died after their SUV crashed into a tree in Colleton County, SC, early Saturday.

A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred early Saturday morning in Colleton County, South Carolina, near Walterboro. Around 12:15 a.m., a driver of a 2012 Chevrolet SUV died after the vehicle left the road and struck a tree. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Separately, a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run on Interstate 26 in Dorchester County early Friday morning, with no arrests made yet.
