Tech groups and ISPs clash with telecom firms over 6GHz band for Wi-Fi vs. 5G/6G use in EU.

In a dispute over the 6GHz band, 58 internet providers and tech groups, including the Dynamic Spectrum Alliance, have asked the EU to allocate this spectrum for Wi-Fi, arguing it's crucial for Europe's digital competitiveness. However, major telecom firms want the same frequencies for 5G and 6G networks. The EU's Digital Networks Act, due by late 2025, will address this spectrum allocation issue.
