Canal+ moves closer to acquiring South African media giant MultiChoice with conditions.

South Africa's Competition Commission has recommended that the Competition Tribunal approve the acquisition of MultiChoice by French media company Canal+, with conditions. The deal, valued at R125 per share, includes commitments to support historically disadvantaged persons and local content creation. Canal+ aims to finalize the transaction, which is subject to the tribunal's approval, by early October.
