Oklahoma's "Dylan's Law" awaits governor's signature to combat epilepsy risks and support patients.
Oklahoma's House Bill 2013, or "Dylan's Law," is awaiting Governor Kevin Stitt's signature.
Named after Dylan Whitten, who died from Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) in 2017, the bill aims to educate medical professionals about SUDEP risks, support insurance coverage for treatments, allow epilepsy to be listed on driver's licenses, and set guidelines for identifying SUDEP in autopsies.
It received bipartisan support in the legislature.
