Australia's Hunter region launches new policies to better identify and support gifted students.

The Hunter region in Australia is implementing a new policy to enhance education for high-potential and gifted students (HPGE). Callaghan College held a staff development day on April 28 to discuss the changes. HPGE students can be identified in four domains: intellectual, creative, social-emotional, and physical. The policy aims to strengthen educators' ability to identify and support these students, providing enrichment through activities like concert bands, drama clubs, and sports programs. The goal is to ensure every student has the opportunity to excel and become confident global citizens.
