Police promise to solve Dhaka student murder case within a week as three suspects are remanded.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner pledged to complete the investigation into the murder of Dhaka University student Shahriar Alam Shammo within a week and send the case to a special tribunal. A Dhaka court granted a six-day remand for three suspects, Tamim Hawlader, Samrat Mallic, and Palash Sardar, arrested in connection with the stabbing death at Suhrawardy Udyan on May 13. The suspects claim they were falsely implicated.
