A Mexican citizen, Maria Del Rosario Navarro-Sanchez, has been indicted in the US on terrorism charges for allegedly aiding the Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG), recently designated as a foreign terrorist organization. She faces charges for providing grenades and assisting in the smuggling of migrants, firearms, money, and drugs. This is the first time a Mexican national has been charged with material support to a designated terrorist group, marking a new approach in combating drug cartels.
