Multnomah County public health officials confirmed a case of active tuberculosis at Lane Middle School in Portland, where the infected individual may have been contagious from September 2024 to May 2025. Health officials contacted potentially exposed individuals and created an FAQ page. Free blood tests will be provided to the school community. Officials are optimistic that there is little risk of community spread.
