Indian government appoints legal team to prosecute Pakistani-Canadian in 2008 Mumbai attacks.
The Indian government has appointed Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to lead a team of lawyers to prosecute Tahawwur Hussain Rana, a Pakistani-Canadian, in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks case.
Rana was extradited from the US and is accused of involvement in the attacks, which killed 166 people.
The team will represent the National Investigation Agency in courts for up to three years or until the trial's completion.
