Two former Tennessee sheriff's deputies, Michael Yzaguirre and Sheldon Smith, may lose their law enforcement certifications after they were fired for misconduct involving an intoxicated woman during a traffic stop. Yzaguirre allegedly had sex with the woman, who could not consent due to her intoxication, while Smith allegedly took her to a hotel instead of conducting a field sobriety test. The Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission will decide if they should be decertified.
