flag Study finds Gen Z has highest tolerance for spicy foods, with 43% rating their tolerance as high.

A recent study of 2,000 adults shows that Generation Z (aged 18-28) has the highest tolerance for spicy foods, with 43% rating their spice tolerance as 'high' or 'very high.' This is higher than Millennials (37%), Gen X (31%), and Baby Boomers (24%). The study, commissioned by bakery brand St Pierre, also found that over 10% of Gen Z will choose the hottest menu option, with nearly half pretending they can handle it to avoid appearing weak.
