A paddleboarder was rescued off Ireland's Clare coast after strong winds stranded her at sea.

A young female paddleboarder was rescued off the west Clare coast in Ireland after strong winds made it difficult for her to return to shore. Emergency services, including the Coast Guard and a search and rescue helicopter, were alerted around 4:30 pm. Two members of the public helped the paddleboarder and her father reach the shore before she was assessed by the helicopter's paramedic and handed to the National Ambulance Service. The operation was stood down after her rescue.
