New York City launches first major office to combat antisemitism amid rising hate crimes.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams has established the Mayor's Office to Combat Antisemitism, the first of its kind in a major U.S. city, to address rising antisemitic incidents.
The office, headed by Moshe Davis, will work across agencies to fight antisemitism, monitor hate crime cases, and advise on legislation.
This initiative comes after Jewish New Yorkers faced 54% of all hate crimes in 2024 and 62% in early 2025.
