Man charged with arson after fire causes $20,000 damage to Bangor business.

A 30-year-old unhoused man, Kerry Smith, has been charged with arson after a fire at Bangor Braces in Bangor, Maine. The fire, which started near two trash cans outside the building, caused about $20,000 in damage but no injuries. Smith was arrested and is being held at Penobscot County Jail. The business is still operational but has closed its lobby for repairs.
