Dublin West TD Ruth Coppinger and colleague Paul Murphy received death threats after refusing to answer questions from the news website Gript Media during a press event. They argued that freedom of speech includes the right not to speak. The threats were reported to the Gardaí, who are treating the matter seriously. Gript's editor, John McGurk, said the site will continue asking questions courteously and fairly.
