Chittagong University honored poverty reduction pioneer Muhammad Yunus with an honorary doctorate.

Chittagong University awarded an honorary Doctorate of Literature to Professor Muhammad Yunus for his work in reducing poverty through microcredit and promoting global peace. The degree was conferred at the university's 5th convocation ceremony held on its central playground, with the Vice-Chancellor presenting the certificate. Yunus also spoke about the importance of infrastructure development in Chittagong.
