Elon Musk's Starlink satellites are being used in a £250,000 trial to improve Wi-Fi on six ScotRail trains in the Scottish Highlands. The six-month project aims to enhance Wi-Fi service, enable Wi-Fi calling, provide GPS tracking, better journey info, and live on-board CCTV. If successful, the technology could be expanded to other rural routes in Scotland. Business Minister Richard Lochhead sees this as a major boost for Highland commuters and visitors.
