The Energy Regulatory Commission in the Philippines has approved a P1.63 billion project by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines to build a 230-kilovolt substation in Ilocos Norte.
The project aims to support growing power demands and integrate future renewable energy sources in the region.
Expected to be completed in 62 months, it is one of six projects NGCP is developing under a total investment of P20.33 billion, requiring ERC approval as mandated by the Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001.
