Explorers complete grueling 28-day, 500-km ski trek across Arctic's Ellesmere Island.

Two Canadian explorers, Kevin Vallely and Ray Zahab, completed a 500-kilometer unsupported ski journey across Ellesmere Island in 28 days. They faced extreme Arctic conditions, including temperatures as low as -30°C and wind chills reaching -80°C. The duo pulled 150-pound sleds and encountered 31 Arctic wolves during their trek. They aimed to experience the Arctic's harshest conditions, which included shard-like snow that made skiing extremely difficult.
