Van driver banned for 5 years after being caught with overweight, defective van and while disqualified.

A 43-year-old van driver, Paul Holt, was banned from driving for nearly five years after being caught driving an overweight and defective Ford Transit van on the M4. The van, weighing over 5,100kg, had worn tires and a fuel leak. Holt was also driving without insurance and while disqualified. He was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to complete a drug rehabilitation course and pay fines.
