Two Belfast police officers were injured in separate altercations, with one fracturing a wrist and another being bitten.

Two PSNI officers were injured in separate incidents in Belfast on Saturday. One officer fractured their wrist while intervening in a dispute on Ardoyne Avenue. Another officer was bitten on the forearm during a fight in the University Street area and needed hospital treatment. Both incidents involved physical altercations. Area Superintendent Finola Dornan praised the officers' bravery and condemned the assaults on police.
