Trinidad's top prosecutor says there's not enough evidence to charge suspended police chief over rifles.
Trinidad and Tobago's Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard, stated there is insufficient evidence to charge Police Commissioner Erla Harewood-Christopher with any criminal offenses related to the importation of two sniper rifles.
Harewood-Christopher was suspended in February, pending investigation.
The decision may lead to her suspension being lifted, allowing her to return to duty for the last four days of her contract, ending May 14.
