Man fatally shot in South Nashville; shooter claims self-defense after victim reached for item.

In South Nashville, a 48-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday morning after repeatedly knocking on a door and getting into a fight with the resident's girlfriend. The shooter, 60-year-old James Green, claimed self-defense, saying he saw the man reaching for something in his waistband. A BB pistol was found on the victim. No charges have been filed against Green, and the case is under investigation.
