Oregon's softball coach, Melyssa Lombardi, has been named Big Ten Coach of the Year, marking her first such honor and the fifth for the program. Leading the Ducks to their first Big Ten regular season title, five of her players were named to the first team all-conference, with two more on the second team. Despite losing in the Big Ten tournament, the Ducks are expected to be selected for the NCAA tournament.
