flag Former landscape architect unveils 1,500 daffodil garden ribbon in Amherst's Orchard Arboretum.

Retired landscape architect Richard Waldman has created a 1,500 daffodil ribbon in Amherst's lesser-known Orchard Arboretum. The garden ribbon, designed to be visually cohesive, starts at the kiosk and weaves through the garden, ending with a circle of daffodils surrounding alliums. The project was funded by donations from two residents of the Applewood Retirement Community. Chosen for their beauty and resistance to local wildlife, the daffodils will bloom for four to six weeks.
