The Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) conducted Wi-Fi 7 trials with partners, showcasing significant improvements over Wi-Fi 6E. In tests, Wi-Fi 7 achieved nearly double the throughput at 5 GHz and sustained over 1 Gbps up to 40 feet away in the 6 GHz band. These advancements in throughput and latency are crucial for enhancing real-time applications like AI, AR/VR, and video conferencing in environments such as offices, manufacturing, and healthcare.
