Irish teachers' unions recommend accepting new Leaving Cert reforms to avoid strikes.

The reforms, starting in September, aim to make assessments more inclusive by awarding a minimum of 40% for practical work and easing pressure on students. The package includes support, like more funding for labs and clearer guidelines on using AI tools. Despite describing the plans as "rushed" and "flawed," the unions will vote on accepting the reforms to prevent industrial action.
