Sam Mendes is directing a four-part film series about The Beatles, titled "The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event," set for release in April 2028. The films will be written by Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, and Jack Thorne, marking the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and The Beatles have granted a studio the rights to their members' life stories and music catalog. Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, and Joseph Quinn will star as John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison, respectively.
