Mail carriers collect donations for the 33rd "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive this Saturday.

The National Association of Letter Carriers is hosting the 33rd annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive on Saturday, May 10th. Mail carriers will collect non-perishable food items left by mailboxes, with donations going to local food banks. Since its start in 1993, the drive has collected over 1.9 billion pounds of food nationwide. Residents can participate by placing bags of food, including canned goods, dried beans, pasta, and grains, next to their mailboxes before 9:30 a.m. This event is crucial for restocking food banks as many school meal programs are unavailable during the summer.
