Indian President approves prosecution of ex-Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav over land-for-jobs scam.

Indian President Droupadi Murmu has approved the prosecution of former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for a land-for-jobs scam. The case alleges that during his tenure from 2004 to 2009, Yadav accepted land as bribes in exchange for railway jobs. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have investigated the case, with the CBI filing multiple charge sheets. Yadav and his family members are charged under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
