Former Springfield resident convicted of sexually assaulting two girls, ages 9 and 11, faces up to 27 years in prison.

Ricardo A. Black, a former Springfield resident now living in Missouri, was found guilty of sexually assaulting two girls, aged 9 and 11, between late 2020 and February 2021. He faces a minimum sentence of 27 years in prison at his August sentencing. The prosecution was supported by the Sangamon County State's Attorney's Office, the Springfield Police Department, and the Sangamon County Child Advocacy Center.
