A 16-year-old hiker died after falling into a gully and another died searching for them in Lions Bay, BC.

A 16-year-old hiker died after falling into a gully during a hike in Lions Bay, British Columbia, on May 4. Two hikers became separated, with one falling into the gully and the other leaving the trail to search. The second hiker was found unresponsive and later died in the hospital. Search and rescue teams were involved, and the incident is under investigation by the Sea to Sky RCMP's Squamish detachment and the B.C. Coroners Service.
