The Oklahoma Department of Commerce has awarded a $775,000 grant to restore and relight the 1949 neon Chrysler Tower in Bristow, Oklahoma, for the Route 66 Centennial in 2026. The landmark, originally an advertisement for the Beard Motor Company, will be relocated to a new plaza on Main Street. Other Route 66 attractions in Tulsa and Claremore also received grants to build outdoor additions to attract tourists.
