Malaysia has imposed anti-dumping duties on PET imports from China and Indonesia, effective May 7, 2025. The duties range from 2.29% to 11.74% for China and 37.44% for Indonesia, aimed at addressing unfair trade practices that hurt Malaysia's domestic PET industry. The measures, decided by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry after an investigation, will be enforced for five years by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.
