St. Petersburg kicks off its tourist season with the Icebreaker Festival, celebrating the city’s history and drawing tens of thousands.
The Icebreaker Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia, started on May 4th and runs through May 7th, marking the start of the city's tourist season and the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The festival, beginning in 2014, offers free access to three historic icebreakers, along with workshops, performances, and lectures.
Last year, it drew 38,400 visitors over four days.
