SIRT clears RCMP officers in the death of a woman detained during a wellness check in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan's Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) has cleared RCMP officers involved in the death of a 55-year-old woman who was detained during a wellness check in May 2024. The woman, reportedly in distress and refusing medical help, was arrested and taken to the hospital where she died. SIRT found the arrest was reasonable and conducted without force, with her death attributed to a cardiorespiratory arrest.
