DOJ agrees to settle lawsuit from family of Ashli Babbitt, fatally shot during Capitol riots.

The US Department of Justice has agreed in principle to settle the lawsuit filed by the family of Ashli Babbitt, who was fatally shot by a Capitol Police officer during the January 6th riots. Though details of the settlement are not disclosed, it is expected to compensate Babbitt's family without admitting any wrongdoing by the DOJ or the officer involved. The settlement is pending court approval.
