Bruce Springsteen marks 50 years with Columbia Records, set to tour UK and release new album.
Bruce Springsteen, at 22, auditioned for Columbia Records on May 2, 1972, impressing A&R executive John Hammond.
This led to a deal with the label, signed on June 9, 1972, and his debut album "Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J." was released in January 1973.
After 50 years with Columbia, Springsteen, who released "Only the Strong Survive" in 2022, is set to start his U.K. and European tour in Manchester on May 14 and release "Tracks II: The Lost Albums" on June 27.
