Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen has appointed Kearney Police Chief Bryan Waugh as the new superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol, effective June 2. Waugh, with over 30 years of law enforcement experience, succeeds Col. John Bolduc, who is retiring on May 4. As Kearney's police chief, Waugh has been known for his innovative approaches to public safety. His annual state salary will be $203,000.
