Scotland's Health Committee says more consideration is needed for a Bill allowing assisted dying.
Scotland's Health Committee has declared that a proposed Assisted Dying Bill needs further consideration before it can become law.
The Bill, which would allow terminally ill patients to seek assistance in ending their lives, faces scrutiny over several areas including human rights, coercion, eligibility, and healthcare worker objections.
The committee made no recommendation, leaving it to individual MSPs to decide.
The Scottish Government has also stated the Bill may be outside Holyrood's legislative competence, requiring dialogue with the UK Government.
