Kenya opens consulate in Haiti to support over 600 peacekeeping officers combating gangs.
Kenya has approved a Consulate-General in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to bolster its peacekeeping efforts and diplomatic ties in the Caribbean.
Led by former Deputy Inspector General Noor Gabow, the consulate will support over 600 Kenyan officers already aiding Haitian police against violent gangs in Port-au-Prince.
This move was decided during a cabinet meeting chaired by President William Ruto.
