A jury will be sworn in on Monday for the trial of Richard Satchwell, who is accused of murdering his wife, Tina, in Youghal, Co Cork, in March 2017.
Her skeletal remains were found six years later, in October 2023, buried beneath a concrete floor under the stairwell of their home.
The trial at Dublin's High Court is set to begin on Tuesday and is expected to last five weeks.
Satchwell, a 58-year-old truck driver from Leicester, England, is currently in Limerick Prison.
