The Department of Justice (DOJ) is soliciting ideas from grant managers to address homeless encampments and increase involuntary hospitalization for the mentally ill, according to an email obtained by The Washington Post.
This follows reports that the DOJ had terminated $811 million in grants affecting victim service programs.
A DOJ official later confirmed that seven of these grants were being restored.
