The UK's DWP identifies £804.7 million in underpaid state pensions to 130,948 individuals since 2021.
The UK's Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has found underpayments of state pensions totaling £804.7 million owed to 130,948 individuals since January 2021.
The underpayments include cases where pensions were not automatically increased for those over 80, for married women whose pensions were not uplifted when their partners retired, or for those whose pensions were not reassessed after their spouse's death.
The DWP is also addressing missing historic periods of Home Responsibilities Protection (HRP), which led to further inaccuracy and £42 million in additional arrears.
