DEA hosts National Prescription Drug Take Back Day to safely dispose of unused medications.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is organizing the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This event aims to safely dispose of unused prescription drugs, reducing the risk of misuse and environmental contamination.
Collection sites will accept tablets, capsules, and patches, but not syringes, sharps, or illicit substances.
Since 2010, the initiative has collected over 19 million pounds of medications, helping prevent substance abuse.
