Ghana's cedi gains slightly against the dollar, but faces inflation and depreciation challenges.

Ghana's local currency, the cedi, has shown slight gains against major currencies like the US dollar, though it has depreciated by about 4% in 2025. The Central Bank reported the cedi trading at GH¢15.34 to buy and GH¢15.35 to sell against the dollar, but checks showed a higher rate of GH¢15.95. The Bank of Ghana has sold over $200 million to curb depreciation, while the World Bank forecasts Ghana's inflation rate to reach 17.2% in 2025.
